Just east of its namesake, the local sea gulls’ favored resting spot in the waves, Bird Rock is a neighborhood offering some of La Jolla’s more reasonably priced homes as well as exceptional oceanfront estates, a small business district with unique shops and restaurants, an oceanside park, and surfers’ favorite, Tourmaline Beach. Bird Rock has traditionally been considered a tight-knit community and remains so today.
